This is a very useful resource in the winter months when you want to know what equipment to take and see the particulars of ice and snow, especially as you can see where and when the report was made from.

Snowdon Weather Forecast
The weather on Snowdon can have a dramatic impact on how enjoyable your day is, or rather, knowing what the weather will be and making sure you’ve got the right equipment will make a huge difference. If it’s a clear day, the views form the summit and along the routes are spectacular but even in cloudy days, you can still see some amazing views.
If the weather’s warm and sunny, be sure to take plenty of water and sun cream however, if the weather’s cooler, you’d be wise to take some warm clothes. Whatever the weather forecast, the summit of Snowdon can be roughly 10° C cooler than at the base so even if it’s warm and mild when you set off, it will be colder by the time you reach the summit.
Not only is there a difference in temperature between the base and summit of Snowdon, but the weather system throughout Snowdonia is very changeable and has the potential to turn from a glorious sunny day to cold and raining in a very short space of time so it’s always worth being prepared and checking the Snowdon weather forecast before setting off for your day to ensure you’re well prepared.
